Australia

Australia is an island-continent situated in southern hemisphere, forming with the nearby island of Tasmania the Commonwealth of Australia.

Before the 18^th century, was inhabited by indigenous Australians, when The Great Britain claimed the eastern half.

Australia is made up of six states: Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, and Southern Australia.

The capital of Australia is Canberra, but is much smaller in population than the major cities like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide, cities that have a very important significance for the country.

The climate of Australia varies from north to south or from east to west. In the northern Australia the climate is tropical, in the center is arid, and as you go to south, the climate is temperate.

One of the great natural wonders of the world, The Great Barrier Reef, which has about 37000 sq km can be found here.

Most of this beautiful country’s mammal animals are marsupials, including the famous koala or the kangaroo, animals that attracts tourists and visitors from all around the world. In Australia tourists will wish to return, because this amazing and gorgeous, land will always have to show them new and fascinating stories of the mysterious mother-nature.
