Sibiu – a preserved city

Sibiu is a city situated in the center of Romania, that attracts every year thousands of tourists that come here to see the beauty of the nature and the tourism objectives.
Declared the capital of European culture in 2007, Sibiu is proud with its historical centre that is very well preserved, that local administration is trying to pass it in to the UNESCO Patrimony.

Budapest - Pearl of the Danube

Budapest is the capital city of Hungary. Situated in the eastern-central Europe, Budapest is one of the most important railway junction.

The city is divided in two parts by the Danube: Buda and Pesta.

The great architecture, the old buildings which are very well preserved urges you to simply walk around the whole city. If you visit Budapest remember to visit The Treasury street, The Gentleman street, The Roman Ruins, Margareta Bridge, Freedom Bridge, Dohany Synagogue, Andrei Hess Square, The Palace of Parliament, The labyrinth of the Buda Castle, and one of the many museums that are opened all around the city.

The capital of Hungary also prides with two botanic gardens, and one zoo. To visit all the landmarks, you will need a few days, bud it worth the effort.

Venice – The city of gondolas

Venice is one of the most famous tourism attraction in Italy. The city of Venice is a thing that you don’t want to miss if you are a passionate traveler.

The most important landmark is Basilica di San Marco, situated in San Marco square, the most important in the city.
118 islands, 177 canals, and over 350 bridges, makes this city so special. The beauty of the town is given by its construction, by the canals that are everywhere, the gondolas that are always full with tourists in love.
You cannot miss a sun set in Venice, you hop in a gondola, and wait to see the beauty of nature, while slowly the gondola floats on water.

The Tower Of Pisa

In Italy, a very famous tower started to be built in August 1173 and continued for about 200 years due to a long series of wars. The name of the tower is The Tower of Pisa. What makes this tower so special is the fact that it leans. It was originally designed to be perfectly vertical, but it started to lean during construction. Even with this special characteristic, the tower is one of the most remarkable structures of the medieval Europe. It has about 60 meters, leans at about 10 degrees angle, and has eight stories with 207 columns.
Many ideas to straighten the tower appeared along time, in 1920 it was consolidated, the foundations of the tower were injected with cement.
Until recent years, the tourists were not allowed to climb the stairs inside the tower, due to consolidation work. Now the tower is open for everyone and its one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy.

The Happy Cemetery of Sapanta

In the far north of Romania, in the village of Sapanta, the most unusual and unique cemetery was built along time ago. What makes this cemetery so special is the fact that local villagers bury their passed away people normally, but their crosses is what makes this place so special. They are painted with representative images of the people who are buried there.
Under the picture, a little poem is written, a poem that illustrates facts or achievements of the man that passed away, but in a funny way, so that the people who come here to smile although they are in a cemetery.
The cemetery has over 800 crosses, and each one of them has a different story. Once you visit this place, you will change your opinion about passing away.
The location of the Happy Cemetery is in very beautiful and natural zone of Romania, a zone with very old and interesting traditions, that will make tourists wish to come back.

The Louvre Museum - Paris - France

If you ever go to Paris in a holiday, you must visit the Louvre Museum. It is one of the biggest museums in the world, with over 35.000 exhibits in a huge building that covers over 20.000 square meters, the most visited museum in the world, and a historic monument.

            The building was built in the 6-th century by Philippe-Auguste as a fortress to protect Paris from the nomad invadors. It was transformed in a pallace for many centuries, becoming gradually a museum for the art collection of the France’s kings.

            In our days, in the museum we can see the famous Mona Lisa (which is one of the most visited art), decorative arts, islamic, egiptean antiquities, near eastern antiquities, greek, roman  and etruscan exhibits.

            You will be simply captivated by the glamour of this place, situated in the center of the Paris. You can travel through the city by metro, train, bus, taxi or bicycle.

The Peles Castle

A visit to Dracula at Bran Castle

For the legend lovers, the greatest challenge comes from Romania. We all now that the legend of Dracula starts from a true story. The residence of the most famous vampire is in Romania, in the region called Transylvania. Here is Bran City famous for the Bran Castle where Vlad Tepes called Vlad Dracul lived along time ago.

The legend says that this man was killing his enemies, and those who were caught stealing or robbing, impaling them, and drinking their blood. From that moment the legend that Vlad Dracul was a vampire started. His celebrity got even bigger when Bram Stoker published in 1897 the book called “Dracula”.

The castle of Dracula lies in the top of a big cliff, being very imposing and scary in the same time.

Tourists come here in very big number to see these beautiful sights and breathe the fresh air that surrounds the entire area, as well the local people are very kind and nice.

The tourists can get here only by train or car, and the nearest big city is Brasov.
